you can be the mystery that i am over trying to solve

The copy-edited manuscript did not arrive today, because apparently Australia Post do not believe in standing by their promises, so instead I have the first slab via email. This means I have a scan of a photocopy of the edits, so some of the comments are a little too pale to see … and it's still daunting.

Wish me luck. And perhaps send me some supplies. I'm going in.

  1. Best of luck. I think supplies sound like an excellent plan. Thanks again for your critting of my story, it helped enormously. I hope your editors thoughts help you too. πŸ˜€

  2. Glad to help, and glad to hear my thoughts on the story helped. Let me know when you sell that one, it was a great read πŸ™‚

  3. Wow. That's a daunting task. But think of how cool it will be to hold the book in your hands and bask in the glow of praise at your book launch. That oughta get you through the edits. πŸ™‚

  4. Good idea! I think most of the problem springs from the sheer unfamiliarity of the task. Once I dived in, the edits on the pages following page one were a little lighter — although it did take me two hours to get past the first page. Yowzer.
