Yesterday I spotted the following on an invitation to a baby shower:
you know, it almost works...but not
Eggcorn? Malapropism? Both?
Definitely funny, definitely wrong.

Imagine how useful that could be! When your family becomes outdated you simply pulp it and release a revised version.
I know, it's brilliant, isn't it? And the new editions could have author's introductions, and revised footnotes, and updated glossaries and reference manuals and commentaries…
I've been giggling over it all night.
In keeping with the times, couldn't the family be released in digital form? Y'know, so then we could turn them off?
Ooh, good idea! And that way we can back them up to the cloud, in case of catastrophe.
Or just recycle them :p
