Today, I learnt that a normal count is 20+ million per ml. (Twenty million!) A lesser count is a mild to severe case of oligozoospermia. A nil count is azoospermia. For IVF, a count of >1 million is required.

I also learnt that 25µm is approximately five head lengths, or half the tail length.

I am sharing for no particular reason.

  1. That many is normal?

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

(Wot I learned today, which had nothing to do with work but came from walking into the lounge room in the middle of a documentary on whales, it that whales have enormous, prehensile, sneaky tentacle like penises, which are really creepy to see.)

(I have no idea what the sperm count for a southern right whale is, nor do I wish to know.)
